A Public Seminar 'Global Crisis - Personal Reflections' was organized by the Center for Canadian Studies in the Arts Faculty Building of the South Campus on Sep.15, 2009. Dr.V.K.Vasal, Director of the Center welcomed all the participants to the Seminar. The Seminar was presided over by Prof.G.K.Das, former Director of the South Campus and a former Vice-Chancellor of the Utkal University.  Prof. Suresh Kalagnanam from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada was the key speaker in the Seminar, with Prof.K.R.G.Nair, former Director of the Center for Canadian Studies, rendering useful services as a discussant. The Seminar was attended by the students, research scholars, teaching faculty and other members of the Community (including Mrs.Sharmistha Roy, Director of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute - India office).
