Dr.Sheila Embleton, President of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI) and a Professor of Linguistics at York University was the key speaker in a Seminar 'Education System in Canada' organized by the Center for Canadian Studies on Oct.27, 2009 (Tuesday) at the South Campus of the University of Delhi. Other speakers in the Seminar were Dr.Faisal Beg from the Canadian High Commission, Ms.Hazel Siromani, CEO of the CECN Global Schools (SAARC Region), and Ms.Maria Mathai, Director of the Canadian Education Center (CEC). Addresses of the speakers were followed by a lively Q and A session. The participants in the Seminar had included Director of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI) - India Office (Mrs.Sarmistha Roy), students, research scholars, teaching faculty members and others. Dr.V.K.Vasal, Director of the Center for Canadian Studies, presided over the Seminar.
