The Masters course in Sanskrit offers specialization in Sanskrit poetics, Sanskrit grammar and Itihas Purana. Other areas of specialization are also offered depending on the number of students available for a particular course of study.  

The M Phil course has an examination in four papers and a research dissertation.

 It is possible that some or all the teaching with respect to this Department may take place in the North Campus
